We, Shoe Realty, are a small real estate firm that was started by Lisa Schueneman, the Broker of the firm, and Mark Schueneman, the President of the firm. Why did we start the business...we both worked in leadership roles in the banking industry for years and as we grew our experience and knowledge saw opportunities to create and run our own successful business.
We went to real estate school in the late 90s to obtain salesperson and then broker's licenses in the State of Florida. After obtaining our licenses Lisa went to work in a larger real estate firm. Initially she was a successful salesperson and then she was promoted to the Assistant Manager and Trainer for a large office. When the housing market started to collapse the larger firms started eliminating positions. We had planned on creating our own firm, this action just made it happen sooner than we expected.
Shoe Realty and Management, Inc., was formed in 2007.
Shoe may come across as different or funny for the name of a firm. If you search on www.sunbiz.org for corporate names, you will find that it feels like everything you think of has already been thought of by someone else. So thinking how we wanted to be upscale, designer, one of a kind it was a lot like the shoes you would see in stores, on TV, etc. It just so happens that Shoe was also Mark's dad's call name in the military and was a way for us to honor his service to our country.
